07 NOVEMBER 2016 (Toronto, ON) – The pioneering and genre-bending hip-hop artist, SonReal has garnered his first ever Platinum record with his smash single “Can I Get A Witness” and has announced a North American headlining tour. "Can I Get A Witness” was the first track off of his latest outing, The Name EP, which was released this summer via Black Box Recordings/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.  The EP debuted in the top 5 on the iTunes Hip Hop chart (peaking at number 1) , amassed over 5 million streams on Spotify and received over 2 million plays on YouTube.  His newest single in support of the EP, “Hot Air Balloon”, is already catching heat on the charts with its Scream-inspired video, which can be viewed HERE.
