15 JUNE 2016 (Toronto, ON) – The innovative and unconventional hip-hop artist, SonReal, is ramping up to release The Name EP on August 12, 2016 via Black Box Recordings/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The EP’s first single “Can I Get A Witness” is a chart-climbing success, already in radio’s top 20, and continuing to live in Shazam’s top ten trending chart in Canada. Produced by Redone and Rush, the song has proven to be one of Son’s most infectious efforts to date with the track already garnering over 2 million streams on Spotify. In keeping with the positive momentum, this weekend finds SonReal presenting at the iHeartRadio MMVAs where he is also up for two awards - Best Hip Hop Video and Best MUCHFACT Video for his cowboy themed extravaganza “Whoa Nilly”. Immediately following the show, he will find himself on a massive 28 date North American tour with the buzz-tinged Jon Bellion. They will be making a stop in Toronto on July 26.
