TORONTO, ON – 06 August 2014 - Reining CCMA Award Duo of the Year The Stellas release their new single, “Gravy” via Back 40 Entertainment/ Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Written by married couple Brad Stella (guitar and vocals) and MaryLynne Stella (vocals) with Fred Wilhelm, “Gravy” mixes classic country twang sound with an upbeat take on the duo’s true story of working hard to make it in the music industry. "Back when we first started our career we came across a lot of musicians who had a 'woe is me' story,” Brad remembers. “They used to live in their car, or they had to wait tables for years before signing a record deal. We had that story too, but we didn't view it as a negative thing, we thought of it more like camping! Life was hard because we had no dough, but we were happy. We were positive. We wouldn't trade it for anything.” The video for “Gravy” features The Stellas, their two daughters Lennon and Maisy (stars of the hit TV show Nashville) and their friends Vince Gill and Amy Grant as special guests. The video was shot in Nashville, TN with award-winning director Roman White (Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley). You can watch the video here. Since the release of the duo’s debut album The Stellas (2012), Brad and MaryLynne have toured with platinum-selling acts such as Zac Brown Band, Johnny Reid and Terri Clark. After the ZBB tour, Brad co-wrote “Let It Rain” with Zac Brown, which features Dave Grohl on drums for the 2013 EP The Grohl Sessions. For more information and upcoming tour dates, visit
