01 MARCH 2017 (Toronto, ON) - Cease Fire, the new stand-alone single by Thurston Moore, is released today via Caroline/Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company. An anti-gun song, Cease Fire is a response to the current unchecked climate of violence that besets many parts of the world, whether large scale in war, genocide and mass killings or individual senseless acts of bloodshed. “Guns are designed to kill and we, as non-violent human beings, are against the killing of any person or animal. The song is also about the power of love, in all its freedom of choice. A power that no gun can extinguish as love will rule always.
