01 AUGUST 2025 (TORONTO, ON) – Alternative rock newcomer Rohin announces his sophomore EP, As The Light Fades for release on August 29 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The announcement arrives alongside an electrifying new single, “Sundown” out now. The track touches on the feelings that surround a complicated relationship with someone who is emotionally unavailable. “Sundown” encapsulates the feelings of confusion, desperation and love in a state where passion can lead to situations in which emotions take over and actions become reactionary opposed to intentional.

On the forthcoming EP, As The Light Fades, Rohin notes: “I’m so proud of this project – I believe it is my best work yet, and my most intentional. It’s about the ending of eras and trying to find catharsis in that crisis.”
As The Light Fades explores coming of age and entering adulthood at a moment where the world feels as though it’s coming undone. It captures the chaotic moments of intense adolescent divisiveness, uncertainty, political divide, and violence in today’s complex society. “Sundown” arrives as the second track off the forthcoming sophomore EP slated for release later this year. First single “Someday” released earlier this summer alongside an accompanying music video.
The forthcoming EP serves as follow up to Rohin’s debut EP follow me down released in 2024. The EP featured standout track “Sadlove” released in conjunction with an accompanying video and live acoustic version.

About Rohin:
Inspired by his own coming-of-age in the post-modern digital era, Rohin writes to make sense of the changing world around him. Enamoured with music from a young age, at 17 he turned his passion into a full-time commitment. By 18 he moved on his own to Toronto to focus completely on songwriting and music. He spent the next couple years focusing on finding himself, his sound, and how the two intertwine.
Inspired by the British indie rock scene and the synths and soundscapes found in ambient music, he has found himself in a nostalgic and dark yet hopeful sound. He writes music that expresses his reality -centred around being young in the city. His melancholic lyrics explore themes of existentialism, loneliness, hedonism, and the mess of becoming. Now, at 21, Rohin sets his sights on 2025 with the release of some of his most intentional, honest, and cohesive music to date.
