(05 November 2012 – Toronto, ON) – Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company is pleased to announce the signing of Montréal’s DJ Vito V, one of Canada’s premiere and fastest-rising DJ’s. Born of Italian decent and originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Vito V is celebrated for writing and producing dancefloor hits and holds the titles of DJ, producer, remixer and radio host of NRJ radio in Montréal, Québec. Vito V’s upcoming album is slated for release in early 2013, with a single scheduled for release later this year (2012). “I couldn’t be happier that I am working with Universal Music Canada on further developing my career as a DJ,” says Vito V. “All I want to do is play the music that I love and keep developing creatively as an artist. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with many major musicians/DJ’s over the years, and this new partnership with UMC will keep allowing me to do so on the albums we release together in the years to come.” While he officially started DJ’ing in local clubs in 1999, it was at the end of 2010 where DJ Vito V saw a meteoric rise in his career with his first two compilations, Clubaholics, Vol. 1 (December 2010) and Sunsation (June 2011). Clubaholics, Vol. 2, is Vito V’s third and current album and is composed of hits remixed with Benny Benassi, Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia to name a few. “DJ Vito V’s talent in the DJ’ing industry is truly undeniable and we couldn’t be happier to sign him to Universal Music Canada,” said Nick Nunes, Marketing Manager – Strategic Marketing, Universal Music Canada. “His passion and love for dance/electronic music keeps taking him to new heights and we want to see him grow and succeed even more than he already has. This genre of music has an extremely dedicated group of followers, and many of Vito’s fans have been with him since the beginning and want to keep hearing more.” In addition to releasing his fourth album early next year, Vito V will be remixing the 2013 edition of MuchDance/DansePlus, with the French version slated for release November 5, 2012, and the English version slated for release on November 6, 2012. MuchDance/DansePlus is Canada’s number one dance compilation comprised of a series of pop/dance albums featuring various artists and released by the Canadian television stations MuchMusic and MusiquePlus. On top of producing and spinning, Vito V also recently became the official club DJ for Canada's NRJ radio station in Montréal, Québec with his own four-hour weekly syndicated show. Vito V has also performed as a supporting act for famous international DJ’s and artists including David Guetta, Tiesto, LMFAO, Avicii, Akon and Axwell to name a few.
