(Toronto, ON – 03 September 2013) – Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company is pleased to announce the return of vocal sensation Nikki Yanofsky who is back with her new single, “Something New”, which is available at (http://bit.ly/1fwubUg) and at radio next Monday, September 09. “Something New” is an instant classic with catchy hooks borrowed from Quincy Jones’ iconic “Soul Bossa Nova” and Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man”.  The song was originally produced by Rob Kleiner (CEE Lo Green), remixed and produced by Adam Dorn, A.K.A. Mocean Worker (Tenacious D/U2) and Executive Produced by music legend and long-time Yanofsky mentor, Quincy Jones. “Something New” is the first single to be released from Yanofsky since her 2010 4x Platinum Certified single, ‘I Believe’, which came from the Gold Certified debut album, Nikki.  “Something New” will be on her forthcoming full-length release Little Secret - out later this year - which was recorded in the famed Capitol Studios’ Studio A. Earlier this summer, CBC Music got the chance to travel to Los Angeles and capture exclusive video content of Yanofsky in-studio with Jones and her band, to film a series of vignettes.
