17 APRIL 2026 (TORONTO, ON) - Multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter, producer, and philanthropist ZAYN releases his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, KONNAKOL, via Mercury Records - listen HERE.
KONNAKOL is ZAYN’s most culturally inspired project to date. While he has consistently drawn from South Asian vocal and rhythmic traditions throughout his music, those influences are brought into sharper focus here. The pop-forward album expands on the sound fans first heard on his record-breaking debut studio album, Mind of Mine. The album is co-produced by ZAYN alongside Malay (Frank Ocean, Lorde) who he previously worked with on Mind of Mine and Icarus Falls. The snow leopard, a profound symbol in South Asia, on the album art showcases how deeply his heritage has inspired the record.
The 15-track album is preceded by lead single “Die For Me,” and “Sideways,” an atmospheric pop R&B record driven by ZAYN’s signature falsetto. Opening track “Nusrat,” an ode to Pakistani musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, serves as the creative anchor of KONNAKOL, setting the vocal experimentation and sonic direction that shaped the album. The latest single “Side Effects” leans into sleek, radio-ready pop R&B, pairing warm synths with his signature falsetto as he explores the complexities of love and devotion. “Fatal” introduces a more dance-driven energy, designed for the live stage with buoyant basslines and an infectious pulse, while “Breathe” offers a softer, atmospheric moment of release. Full tracklisting below.
In support of the release, ZAYN will make his first late-night TV interview alongside a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 21, followed by an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on April 23. He also kicked off album release week gracing the cover of ELLE India, highlighting the global cultural influence behind the album.
ZAYN will kick off his largest solo tour to date, The KONNAKOL Tour, on May 12, 2026 in Manchester, UK. The tour will span major cities across the globe, including London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, São Paulo, and more before concluding on Friday, November 20 in Miami, FL at Kaseya Center. Earlier this year ZAYN wrapped his first-ever Las Vegas residency, where he debuted and teased unreleased material from KONNAKOL. Variety praised his performance, “he delivered pristine vocals, his signature falsetto and a noticeably stronger stage presence than on his last tour.” Full tour routing below.
The album arrives after 2024’s critically acclaimed Room Under the Stairs, followed by his first ever solo tour across the U.S., UK and Mexico. He most recently teamed up with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo on “Eyes Closed”, which earned a 2026 iHeartRadio Music Award nomination for Favorite K-Pop Collaboration and made an impressive global impact — debuting at #10 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart (43.9M streams first week), #72 on the US Hot 100, #21 on Spotify Global and topping iTunes in over 40 countries.

ABOUT ZAYN:
ZAYN has always used sound to connect. He stretches, steers, and shapes his voice to fit each and every feeling, matching his inflection to the high and lows of an entire spectrum of emotion. This uncanny ability has elevated him to the forefront of 21st century culture as both a generational artist and a vocal dynamo without rival. For over a decade-plus, he has consistently distinguished himself as a sonic and creative outlier for over a decade-plus. He notably made history when his 2016 full-length debut, Mind of Mine, enshrined him as “the first UK male solo artist to simultaneously top the UK and US albums chart at #1 during release week.” Its 5x-Platinum breakthrough smash “PILLOWTALK” impressively surged to #1 in 68 countries. He maintained his momentum with the Gold-certified Icarus Falls [2018], Nobody Is Listening [2021], and Room Under The Stairs [2024], which saw him return to the Top 15 on the Billboard 200. Beyond two BRIT Awards nominations, he has garnered honors at the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV VMA, among others. Giving back, his 2022 public letter to the British Prime Minister led to the expansion of access to free school meals for impoverished children across the UK. In 2025, he joined forces with Jisoo of BLACKPINK for the first time on “Eyes Closed,” notching a nomination at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in the category of “Favorite K-Pop Collaboration.” He sold-out his inaugural Las Vegas residency in 2026 at Dolby Live Park MGM. Now, he connects more intimately than ever before on his fifth full-length album, KONNAKOL [Mercury Records]. For ZAYN, KONNAKOL is ultimately the sound of connection, the sound of passion, and the sound of the future.
